Big Bear Grand Prix 2026
Good times up at the Big Bear Grand Prix this weekend.
I was up there to help out Justin and the SRD track crew, which ended up being running up and down the ski slopes all damn day, running fire hose and moving rocks. If you don’t think we were moving rocks, they were never-ending—but we were.
A Little Time Behind the Camera
I only pulled my camera out for a little bit to catch Justin and Eric’s kids racing some mini moto. Also shot some photos of the pro race on my OM-2 with only a 24mm prime.
We’ll see about those.
Sometimes it’s nice showing up to an event without the intention of documenting the whole thing. Help out, get dirty, shoot a few photos when there’s a moment, and otherwise just be there.
Put This One on the Calendar
If you missed the Big Bear Grand Prix this year, I’d definitely put it on your calendar for next year.
The course is rad. Challenging and at elevation, with difficult dirt that makes you work for it—but at the end of the day, rewarding.
Good event, good people, and a proper weekend in the mountains.
