Organic Mexican Inspired Food
Haggos categorize themselves as “Mexican Inspired” food. But I have to give them a little more credit than that. I have spent a fair amount of time south of the border in Baja California as well as Mainland Mexico. I feel that what we associate in California as well as most of the United States as “Mexican Food”. Would be a more Baja style Mexican food.
I hate to break it to you but the burrito was an American invention..
Now the food in Mainland Mexico is, in my mind drastically different. With outstanding restaurant culture in Guadalajara, Mexico City and Oaxaca. The food is “cleaner” and less greasy. That’s not to say you can’t get a good queso taco in Mexico City and that’s also not to say you can find fine dining in Baja.
Haggos Tacos to me
In my eye Haggos has more of a mainland Mexico feel to the menu with an Anchorman very much hip Leucadia twist. There is not a California Burrito on the menu but a very delicious “KIP” quesadilla. No el flamazo taqueria queso tacos but exceptional fresh fish tacos. If your feeling adventurous check out the “Ron Burgundy Burrito”. Just be opened to experiencing a potentially different twist to Mexican food than you are used to.

Inside Haggos Tacos
Super relaxed environment with plenty of in and outdoor seating. Their Paito wraps from east facing Pacific Coast HWY to south and is great to enjoy a warm summer day. Great spot to enjoy a nice Duck Foot Beer and an Immortal Taco!
