Korean War memorial
In the Late 1980’s there was an addition of a Korean War memorial atop the La Jolla Mountain. With services offered to the public on holidays: Memorial day, 4th of July as well as Veterans Day.
Cross on Mount Soledad
As I walked the isles, I saw pictures and names of those who sacrificed their lives in the war. I began to feel the weight of the 40ft cross over my shoulders. War has been an unfortunate occurrence throughout human history. Regardless of the purpose for war or the outcome. This visual is one to take in, pause and reflect.
