My second time out to Cedar City for the Belgian Waffle Ride. This occasions photo assignment was to photograph the women’s pro field from the seat of a dual sport motorcycle.
My moto driver Brant was awesome. Kept the bike upright all day and me as safe as I could be given the situation.
Kinda funny because I had just met him for the first time the night before. With a quick strategy meeting in the morning we were on our way. Thats a lot of trust blindly put into someone. Gravel is a little more unique than standard road cycling. The BWR Cedar City course had some very technical areas to ride as well. It made for an exciting day behind the lens.
BWR Eliel Cycling Burrito Ride
The day prior to the full Waffle Ride. Eliel Cycling hosted the Burrito ride. As the name would suggest there are burritos! Perfect way to shake out your legs and to consume some much need calories for the next days activities.
Belgian Waffle Ride Cedar City Race Day
4am wake up for 6am Waffle consumption, followed by a casual 130 mile bike ride..
7 am event start
7:30 am women’s field is off
From that point I pretty much lost track of time, there was work to be done.
Great day shooting photos for a great event. From the 4am alarm to turning in a hard drive with a few thousand photos at 12 midnight.
