San Diego Botanic Garden Lightscape
SDBG is a 37 acre garden in encinitas which turns a 1 mile trial into a holiday light show. Being familiar to the San Diego Botanic Garden and finding out this is currently happening, how could we pass this up?
Our experience
We managed to make it down there on a chilly San Diego evening which gave it a little more holiday vibe. Our primary interest was the light show but we were pleasantly surprised to find prosecco and other beverages on offer as we walked.
Ultimately we had a great time.
While it was fairly crowded when we were there, parking was no issue and neither was navigating the trail. Being a photographer I had fun trying to get interesting photos while taking in the entire spectacle.
Book in advance
You have to book a time slot and pay for parking in advance. It was easy for us and we booked on our phone over dinner.
