And so starts the 2020 UCI downhill series! … Sh*T!!!.. I personally had high hopes for 2020 and this pandemic is probably my fault. I quit my job in December to spend a year racing, traveling and riding my bike.. Then this happens. As it stands right now the first UCI downhill race is scheduled for June 20-21, 2020 in Vollnord, Andorra. With all the events scheduled before this date being listed as postponed. I hope they run the June race for 2 reasons:
- 1) that would mean that the public is no longer in threat of the COVID-19 virus.
- 2) I miss MTB racing

Fortunately for me I got to see some downhill action before the Coronavirus outbreak in America. And before the first half of the Downhill season was postponed/canceled. I’m not going to get into all of the details of the new Intense downhill bike but.. I will say this: The bike works incredibly well and the team operates with ease and efficiency. I was getting fired up over the 2 days I spent watching them ride and taking pictures.

Time will tell
We’ll all see how this sorts out shortly. Hopefully the UCI downhill season will start in June as scheduled and we see Intense Factory Racing on the podium.
